Heart of Virginia Festival

On May 5th, we went to the Heart of Virginia Festival in Farmville with Mom, Dad, Pam, and Vivian. The girls had a fun time with the kids activities. They also enjoyed picking out something they wanted from Mom and Dad and from Jason and I. We got caught in a little bit of rain but nothing to bad. It was nice to get out and see people in the community that we don't often get to see because of busy schedules.

Tibbs Baby News

We had our monthly checkup yesterday. We also had an ultrasound and were able to see a perfectly healthly baby! We were also able to learn that the baby is a ... GIRL!!!!!!!!!! Everyone is very excited. She is a beautiful little thing already and kept everyone entertained during the ultrasound with her constant movement!!!

Spring Break 2012 Trip One

Monday to Wednesday of our spring break week we were in Virginia Beach/Sandbridge, VA. We arrived Monday evening just in time to go for a walk on the beach before dark. On Tuesday we went to the Virginia Aquarium, spent time playing on the beach and walking the boardwalk. On Wednesday, we said good bye to the beach and got to eat breakfast with Aunt Nat and Uncle Bee they stopped by the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk on the way home. Here are some of the favorites from our trip...

Things we loved that are not pictured include the huge turtle tank, shark tank, nature trail, and march center.


We also had a great time at the zoo. We got to pet some cows and goats, see lions, tigers, and bears, and many more. If you are ever in the Norfolk area you should definitely check out the Virginia Zoo. We took the kids on the zoo's train ride...while it was something fun for them to do, it wasn't really worth it because you don't get close enough to any of the exhibits to really see anything so you spend time going back to where you rode the train.

Happy Easter 2012

We had a busy Easter season. We were able to attend several Easter Egg hunts and our church service where we celebrated the true meaning and blessings of Easter.

Farmville Presbyterian Church - Easter Sunday 2012

The sanctuary was decorated with many Easter Lillies... two of the lillies were given in memory of my grandparents. One was in memory of Harry and Kitty Brinkley and another in memory of Irving and Fontane Sayer.

I hope everyone has a great Easter and took time to celebrate why we have such a wonderful holiday.

Ava Turns 4!

On March 20th, my baby girl turned 4 years old! Can someone please tell me where the time went?!?!?!?! We had a fun filled weekend to honor such an occasion! On Saturday, March 17th, we had many of Ava's friends come to All Fired Up where everyone got to paint themselves something. On Sunay, March 18th, we had our family over to the house for cake and ice cream. On Tuesday, March 20th, Ava and I went to the zoo for her birthday. Vivian paining her kitty...

Jessica Turns 29

So I know this post is WAY late but I figured better late than never... I had a great birthday dinner at my Momma's! I am so lucky to have a such an amazing family! Jason and Ava also made me a fabulous birthday cake!

We are still here...

Hello All! I know you haven't heard from the Tibbs family in a while, but I will try and catch you up. LOL

We celebrated my 29th birthday on New Years and I love being able to tell Jason I am still in my twenties...LOL.

We have also had some great news...we are EXPECTING!!!!!!! My due date is September 1st! Things have been pretty rough this first trimester but getting better daily.

Mom and Dad also celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day! They are such wonderful role models for what a great marriage should be!!!!!!!!!

That is basically the news from the Tibbs Family! Everyone has been busy with school and work and enjoying time at home on the weekends!
